To be eligible to attend a Program Orientation session,
you will have to:
Contact the SEB Administrator to register for the
next appropriate Program Orientation Session.
The SEB Administrator will confirm the date, time
and location of the appropriate Program Orientation
Session.
At the Program Orientation Session, you will receive
details on:
Privacy Act - GCFDC Privacy Statement & Disclosure
and Release of Personal Information
Eligibility Criteria
Personal suitability requirements of entrepreneurship
The eight-week intensive business plan development
workshop session
Responsibilities of Program Participants
Maintaining eligibility throughout the Program
Income supports available through Employment
Ontario
The Self-Employment Benefit Program Application
and Required Attachments
How to access the GCFDC Web-site to obtain information,
download and print the SEB Application and all required
forms relating thereto, and/or, to complete and submit
an Application on line
The deadline for submission of Applications (presently
2 weeks following the Program Orientation Session)
The Applicant Screening, Interview and Approval
Process
At the conclusion of the Program Orientation Session,
you will have the opportunity to register for the eight
week intensive business plan development workshop session
and become a Program Participant. To proceed to this
next step you must be prepared to:
Develop a business
plan acceptable to the SEB Program Coordinator,
GCFDC and Employment Ontario, showing business management capability
and potential for long term self-employment
Start a new business or take over an existing business
in which you have had no prior ownership
Commit to continued operation of the business even
after the completion of the SEB Program.
Once your Self-Employment Benefit Application for the
business plan development workshop has been approved
and have been established as a Program participant,
GCFDC will contact you of the start date, time and location
of the next business plan development workshop session.
The Self-Employment Benefit Program is funded by
