The Community Retrofit Program broad objective is to assist and encourage the development of vacant or underutilized, industrial, commercial or retail properties leading to development and job creation/retention potential. In Grenville, the priority will be to focus on assisting and encouraging downtown revitalization, but will also support retail and tourism businesses outside the downtown core, industrial retrofits and home based business exterior retrofit. Up to $10,000 in repayable, non-interest bearing loans, amortized over up to ten years, will be made available to qualifying businesses and commercial property owners in Augusta, Edwardsburgh/Cardinal, North Grenville and/or Prescott for the purposes of improving the physical appearance of buildings.
